What hours is Secureone open?

    • All of our offices are open 9AM-5PM local time. Our Mesa Arizona Office is open 8AM-5PM local time. 

What holidays does Secureone observe?

    • Secureone observes all Federal Holidays, including: MLK Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independance Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Black Friday, Christmas Day, New Years Day. 

Where is Secureone's headquarters (HQ) location?

    • Our Corporate location is located at 4701 Midlothian Turnpike, Ste 2, Crestwood IL 60418

What services does Secureone provide?

    • We provide both traditional Security Services, and Fingerprinting Services. We encourage you to explore our "Services" tab at the top of the webpage. 

What different training programs do you offer your employees?

    • We firmly believe that “Failure to train is training to fail.” Our library is full of various training programs available to all employees for all types of industries and topics, including Verbal Judo, Event Security, Workplace Violence, Traffic Control, Bloodborne Pathogens, Ethics, Diversity Awareness, Loss Prevention, Legal Briefs, Campus Security and more.

Do you offer temporary or "as needed" Security Services?

    • We understand that in this industry, some clients only require security professionals for a short-term basis. Please call or email us for additional information.

Do you offer security services nationwide?

    • We hold current licenses in 12 states in which we conduct business. In states where we are not licensed, we draw from our network of pre-screened security agencies that share our values, allowing us to cover all 50 states. The benefit to clients with multiple locations is you have one invoice and one company to deal with. We do the rest.

Do you require multi-year contracts?

    • No. We will never lock you into a multiple year agreement. Never sign an agreement for multiple years. They may sound cheap in year 1 – but they make up for it in subsequent years. You need a hedge against poor performance and automatic increases.

If I'm not happy, how can I cancel my agreement with you?

    • Our contracts always include a 30-day termination clause that allows either party to cancel the contract for any reason with 30-day written notice. We are confident in the services we provide.

When is payday?

    • Secureone employees are paid weekly, on each Monday. However, in the event a holiday falls on a Monday, the payday will be moved to the previous Friday.

What our my options for pay?

    • Secureone offers Direct Deposit, mailing checks, or picking up checks at your local branch. We highly recommend direct deposit, as physical checks get delayed in the mail, get lost, etc. 

Is my first check direct deposit?

    • Yes, your first check will be direct deposit. Additionally, if you leave Secureone, your last check will be direct deposit. Secureone will only issue paper checks in rare circumstances. 

How do I change my direct deposit information?

My direct deposit/check is inaccurate, how do I get it fixed?

    • For any pay-related issues (shortages, inaccurate pay rates, overages, etc) please fill out the payroll correction form

My home address changed, how do I get Secureone systems updated?

    • If you are a current employee, please update addresses, phone numbers or email addresses online via your eHub application.
    • If you are a former employee, please update your addresss via the address change form

How can I apply for a job with Secureone?

    • You can apply for a job at Secureone a variety of different ways. The most common way is to go our Career Page and apply. You also can check out our Indeed page, and see all our open positions. Finally, if you are in the Illinois (Crestwood IL) or Arizona (Tempe AZ) divisions, we permit walk in interviews on Wednesdays during normal business hours. 

How long does the hiring process take?

    • In most cases, Human Resources will reach out to you for an interview (or send a disqualifying email) within 24 business hours of you applying. After your interview, you should be aware of your standing with Secureone within another 24 business hours. If hired, you will be invited to our next orientation date, which we conduct once per week. 

What benefits does Secureone currently offer?

    • We offer Medical Insurance plans, 401K plans with 3% company match, Paid Time Off (PTO) benefits and almost 1 dozen bonus incentives. 

How long is the orientation/onboarding process?

    • When hired, Secureone will send you all New Hire forms ahead of the orientation date. Please plan to spend 1 hour on new hire paperwork BEFORE orientation day. Secureone's orientation is currently 4-5 hours, depending on class size. 

Does Secureone provide the equipment/uniforms needed? 

    • Secureone provides all necessary uniforms, with the exception of footwear/shoes. Secureone will provide: Uniform Shirts, Uniform Pants, Jacket, Winter/Summer Hats, Belts, Company Identification, Safety Vest, etc. 

What is the dress code for Orientation?

    • Secureone expects all new hires to be dressed business casual or above. Jeans, Khakis, polos, button ups, dresses, skirts, etc are acceptable. 
    • Please do not show up in flip flops, tank top and shorts. 

What services does Secureone Livescan offer?

    • Illinois Livescan offers:
      • Illinois Fee App
      • FBI Background Checks
      • UCIA Fingerprint Checks
      • Florida Fingerprinting in Illinois
      • Illinois Healthcare Worker Registry
      • TSA Precheck, Hazmat and TWIC enrollments.
    • Arizona Livescan offers:
      • Department of Public Safety fingerprints
      • Illinois Fingerprinting in Arizona
    • Sales:
      • FBI Form FD-258 fingerprint cards sales in packs of 3's, 5's, 10's, 25's and 100's. 
      • Pepper Sprays and other self defense equipment. 

Are appointments required?

    • No, walk-ins are taken all day at all locations. However, it is important to note at our busier locations that walk-ins come after our appointments and therefore may have to experience a short wait. 

 

What is a 401K plan?

    • A 401(k) plan is a qualified Secureone-sponsored retirement plan that eligible employees may enroll into to make salary-deferred contributions on a post-tax and/or pretax basis. 

What type of 401K plan does Secureone offer its employees?

    • There are two basic types of 401K offiered: Traditional and Roth. 
      • Traditional: With a traditional 401(k), employee contributions are deducted from gross income. This means the money comes from your paycheck before income taxes have been deducted. As a result, your taxable income is reduced by the total amount of contributions for the year and can be reproted as a tax dediction for that tax year. No taxes are due on either the money contributed or the investment earnings until you withdraw thew money, usually in retirement. 
      • Roth: Contributions are deducted from your after-tax income. This means contributions come from your pay after income taxes have been deducted. As a result, there is no tax deduction in the year of the contribution. When you withdraw the money during retirement, though, you don't have to pay any additional taxes on your contribution or on the investment earnings.

What contributions does Secureone offer through the 401K program?

    • Secureone offers a 100% match of up to 3% of the employees salary. An employee can contribute more than 3%, but Secureone will only match up tto 3%.
    • Additionally, Secureone pays for employees to have access to the learning center, which can guide the employee on how to properly invest the money in their 401K account.
